Offline Payments, Real-time Platform Sync & Locked Features UX

This release implements offline payment processing (Bank Transfers and Wallets/Instapay), enables complete real-time sync across both the Platform Console and Tenant dashboards, integrates database-driven upgrade checkout paths, and provides a polished UX/UI for locked features with interactive CTA triggers.

Offline Payment Gateways

Added backend support for offline transactions (Bank Transfer, Vodafone Cash, and Instapay) in the payment edge function, capturing reference codes and receipts for admin review.

Allows coexistence of multiple active gateways (both online and offline) and introduced a payment method selection step during tenant upgrades.

Created a Platform Gateway Management board for super admins to configure payment details, toggle active states, and approve pending offline transfers.

Full Real-time Synchronization

Enabled Supabase Realtime across all platform and organization tables, including subscription plans, transactions, gateways, and organization profiles.

Created database trigger functions to keep organization plans fully synchronized in real-time with their active subscription keys.

Implemented query cache invalidations so that console modifications (price changes, module lists, active gateways) propagate instantly to tenant sessions without manual page refreshes.

Locked Features UX/UI

Added a global Upgrade Dialog state manager allowing checkout screens to open as popup modals from any context.

Sidebar navigation links, parent folder collapsibles, and popover submenus for locked modules are now shown as locked (with lock icons) rather than hidden, prompting the user to upgrade on click.

Standardized the Parish Admin Dashboard by displaying locked badges on MetricCards and QuickActions, and blurring disabled widgets (like Attendance & Giving charts) with locked overlays and Upgrade CTA buttons.

Updated full-page lock screens and restricted route feature gates (including messages) to trigger the global Upgrade modal instantly.

Billing Settings & Overrides

Replaced static hardcoded billing plans in the Settings tab with a database-driven query mapping active plans and features dynamically.

Enabled a full override option on the database for demo organizations to bypass plan restrictions and access all modules.

Tasks Kanban Board, Member Portal Bookings, Forms Public Links & Signature Capture

This is a substantial release delivering the full Task Management Kanban board for staff coordination, a dedicated Member Portal for booking confession slots and requesting pastoral visits, a major Forms module upgrade enabling shareable public links with signature pads and file attachments, and a suite of stability and security improvements.

Tasks Kanban Board

Launched a full-featured task management board allowing org admins and servants to create, assign, and track tasks across columns: To Do, In Progress, Review, and Done.

Tasks support priorities (Urgent, High, Normal, Low), due dates, assignees, file attachments, nested subtasks, and a comment thread.

Real-time task notifications are automatically sent to assignees whenever a task is created or updated.

Fixed a permissions gap: Member, Service Leader, and Group Servant roles now correctly see the Tasks tab in the sidebar after a full backfill of the tasks.view permission across all existing organizations.

Member Portal — Bookings & Visits

Members can now book available confession slots directly from the Member Portal, choosing from priests who accept confessions and viewing day-by-day open slots for the next 14 days.

Members can submit pastoral visit requests (Home or Hospital), set priority, add personal notes, and select their preferred priest.

A new My Appointments section displays all booked confession slots and submitted visit requests with live status updates and a cancel option for upcoming appointments.

Forms — Public Link Sharing

Published forms marked as Public can now be shared via a direct link that anyone can open and submit without needing to log in — ideal for event registrations, feedback forms, or visitor intake.

A one-click Copy Public Link action was added to the Forms page dropdown for published forms, placing the shareable URL directly on the clipboard.

Administrators can preview the live public form from the same dropdown.

Forms — Signature Pad & File Uploads

Form respondents can now draw a handwritten signature on a touch or mouse canvas directly inside a form — the signature is saved as a high-fidelity image.

File Upload fields now capture the full file content as a Base64 attachment stored within the submission, with an inline image thumbnail preview for image files.

The star rating field now responds to mouse hover with live colour feedback before selection.

Forms — Detailed Submission Viewer

Clicking any row in the Submissions table now opens a detailed response card showing every field answer in full, including drawn signatures, uploaded images, Likert scale selections, and checkbox group answers.

Individual file attachments can be downloaded directly from the submission detail panel.

The CSV export correctly handles object-type fields (file metadata and Likert answers) when exporting responses.

Security & Database

Submissions from logged-in users automatically link the response to their Person record, enabling staff to trace who submitted which form.

The form submissions access policy was tightened so that regular members can only view their own submissions, while authorized staff retain full access.

RLS recursion in the People module was eliminated using a new security-definer helper function for active clergy lookups, fixing a production data-load issue.

Bulk Actions, Sunday School Classroom Details & Copto Support Center

This update brings bulk operations to the parishioner directory, introduces detailed Sunday School classroom statistics for teachers, integrates the new Copto Support Center directly into the platform, and resolves key production issues.

Bulk Directory Actions

Added the multi-select Bulk Actions Toolbar to the People directory, allowing admins and staff to update statuses, enroll members in groups, or delete records in batch.

Sunday School & Classrooms

Launched the Sunday School Class Detail page, offering teachers interactive attendance tracking, age-bracket summaries, and easy registration controls.

Copto Support Center

Integrated the support ticketing module directly in the platform, allowing servants to submit issues and track resolution status in real-time.

Production Security & Stability

Updated the Public API CORS headers to securely permit only production domains for people and donations endpoints.

Resolved production Edge Function fetch failures by setting up explicit VITE_SUPABASE_URL pathing.

Localization & Detail Views

Extended English/Arabic translations to person details and profile fields.

Clergy Schedule & Availability

Priests and deacons can now mark specific days or time slots as unavailable directly from their schedule page — perfect for vacations, retreats, or personal commitments — without disrupting their regular availability.

Admins can review and manage all clergy exceptions in one place, making it easy to plan bookings and avoid scheduling conflicts.

Built-in Help Center

Every page in Kononia now has a Help button that opens a relevant, step-by-step guide — no need to search elsewhere or contact support for routine tasks.

The Help Center covers over 70 topics including member management, attendance, giving, groups, sacraments, pastoral care, Sunday school, and more — all written specifically for Orthodox church servants.

Complete Arabic Experience

All pages are now fully translated into Arabic — including Pastoral Care, Messaging, Clergy, Attendance, Events, Giving, Groups, Families, Forms, Sacraments, Sunday School, Volunteers, Accounting, and Reports.

Every button label, status name, confirmation message, and notification in the app now appears correctly in both Arabic and English based on your language preference.

Messaging Improvements

Starting a new group conversation now works instantly — messages and participants appear right away without needing to refresh the page.

Fixed an issue where some participants were occasionally missing from a newly created conversation.
